Dixon packing Laboratory high efficiency filter media
Dixon packing is a small particle high efficiency packing, made of wire mesh, packing diameter equal to the height.
Dixon packing is a small particle high efficiency packing, made of wire mesh, packing diameter equal to the height.
Dixon packing is mainly used in laboratory and small batch, high purity product separation process. The pressure drop of the Dixon packing is related to gas velocity, liquid spray volume, material system weight, surface tension, viscosity, characteristics of the packing, and also is related to the pre-liquid flood treatment of the packing. The hysteresis of theDixon packing is larger than that of the similar solid packing, the surface wetting of the Dixon packing is complete than that of the general porcelain ring, and the film forming rate is high, so the efficiency is also higher. The theoretical plate number of Dixon packing increases with the increase of gas velocity and decreases with the decrease of surface wetting rate of packing.
